Description
The monument and memorial ossuary in Ritopek The monument and memorial ossuary in Ritopek was built in 1946, immediately after World War II. It was erected in honor of the fighters of the Red Army and the People's Liberation Army who fell in the battles for the liberation of Belgrade. It is known that the locals transported Russian fighters from the Banat bank of the Danube, and they are known as the "heroic fleet". Namely, although the Germans confiscated boats and vessels, under the threat of death, the people hid their boats, boats and small boats in groves and barns, then covered them with earth and leaves. And when the time came, they transported Red Army soldiers day and night with their fleet, who took part in the battles and defeated the enemy. The monument was built as a vertical 12-meter high symbolizing the 12 days that the battles for the liberation of Belgrade lasted.
