Grgeteg Monastery According to legend, Grgeteg Monastery was founded by Vuk Branković, who was sung in folk songs as the Fiery Dragon, in order to place his father there. The first material historical data on the existence of this monastery are from the 16th century. In the 18th century, the old stone church was replaced by a new baroque building, which houses the iconostasis, which was built at the beginning of the 20th century. century painted by the famous painter Uroš Predić. In the monastery, there is also a famous icon of the Mother of God, which attracts attention. This women's monastery is located above the place of the same name next to the dense forest of Fruško Gora. Once upon a time, this monastery was well-to-do with four mills, nine water mills and 200 acres of arable land, vineyards and meadows. As part of the monastery complex, east of the monastery gate in Kalin Potok, there is a geological-paleontological site of great importance.
