Monastery of St. Petka Iverica This 14th-century monastery of the Eparchy of Niš was built in the canyon part of the Sićevačka gorge. It belongs to the municipality of Niška banja and the monastery can be reached in less than 30 minutes by car from the center of Niš. With its long and interesting history, it is rightfully considered one of the most interesting monasteries in Serbia. The area where it is located is extremely unstable due to the roads that pass through it, but in recent years, efforts have been made to protect it. It is specific for its military status, architecture and iconostasis. When you find yourself in Nis or its surroundings, a visit to the monastery of St. Friday Chipboard is an activity that will make your vacation especially beautiful. It is believed that the church was built during the time of Uroš Nejako, although its origin has not yet been fully investigated.
