Within the Family Strengthening Program, we are looking for a new team member in the position:

ASSOCIATE FOR WORK WITH FAMILIES

Location: Obrenovac

Mission and purpose of the workplace:

Work with program participants through support activities for children, youth and families to improve their physical, psycho-social, health and educational capacities, with the aim of creating conditions for independent functioning and independence.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Direct work with program participants - providing support/case management and other types of work with participants

• Making an initial, in-depth (if necessary) and other assessment of the situation of families/participants

• Creating a family development plan to solve problems and its implementation in cooperation with family members

• Implementation of methods and techniques of psychological work and application of elements and procedures of case management in work with families

• Implementation of counseling and other activities and support measures until the risks faced by the families are reduced or eliminated

• Organization and implementation of individual and group psycho-social work, workshops, training, etc.

• Active participation in planning, monitoring, analysis of implemented activities and preparation of reports - keeping the necessary records and documentation

• Establishing and maintaining a process of regular monitoring and evaluation of family-related activities supported by other project activities

• Contacting health, educational, social and other institutions, sports, cultural and other organizations, which are responsible for exercising rights and providing services to children, young people and families, for the purpose of completing the anamnesis, organizing support and monitoring the results of the activities they offer to our participants.

• Participating in campaigns or advocacy actions focused on improving child and family protection and promoting the program in the media and in other ways

• Ensuring that children and young people involved in program activities are protected from all forms of violence, in accordance with the Child Protection Policy

Qualifications: 

• Higher education in social work, psychology, special pedagogy or pedagogy

• Previous work experience of at least one year in social work or similar support for vulnerable families

• License to work in social protection (or obtaining a license within 6 months of starting employment)

• Prior case management training preferred

• Knowledge about the problems of the target group, that is, vulnerable children, young people and families;

• Knowledge of topics and laws in the field of children's rights

• Computer skills (MS Office)

• Category B driver's license - active driver

• Knowledge of the English language

• Willingness for field work (50%)
