Graphic Prepress Specialist / DTP Operator

SWA TIM is looking for a responsible and precise person to work on the graphic preparation of materials for digital printing, advertising graphics and production of POS materials.

We are not only looking for a creative designer, but a person who understands how to properly prepare a file for production and who knows how to recognize and correct technical errors before printing.

Job description

• Checking, correcting and preparing files for printing

• Adaptation of dimensions and formats according to production requirements

• Check resolution, fonts, colors, margins, overhangs and crop lines

• Preparation of files for digital printing, cutting and finishing

• Simple graphic corrections and adaptation of existing solutions

• Communication with sales and production colleagues regarding technical requirements

• Keeping track of deadlines, file names and organization of work materials

Required knowledge and experience

• Good knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop 

• Knowledge of CorelDRAW is desirable

• Understanding of vector and raster graphics 

• Knowledge of CMYK and Pantone color systems 

• Understanding of prepress: resolution, bleed, contour cutting, fonts and output formats 

• Accuracy, responsibility and good organization 

• Ability to spot a problem in a file before it reaches production

• Experience in graphic preparation, in a printing house or a company that deals with advertising material is an advantage.
