Description
Rgot Lake Rgot Lake is located in the municipality of Zaječar, southeast of the village of Rgotina. Lake Rgot was created in 1978, when water began to fill the surface pit of the sand mine. The miners had to leave the pit, from which they had been exploiting sand for more than 70 years. The water level is relatively stable, although water from the lake drains through small streams. The lake receives water only from its source at the very bottom of the mine. The shores of Rgot Lake are forested, and the lake itself is stocked. International competitions were once organized on this lake, however, today only smaller fish are present, so the lake is no longer popular among anglers. Lake Rgot is about 11 kilometers from Zaječar, on the way to Bor. It is possible to reach the shore of the lake by car.
