Grliško jezero

Grliško Lake Grliško Lake is an artificial accumulation lake, made in eastern Serbia, on the territory of the town of Zaječar. Lake Grliško is located in the valley between Grlišta and Leskovac and is about 20 kilometers from the city of Zaječar. This lake is multi-purpose, and the primary reason for the construction of the lake is to supply drinking water to Zaječar and the surrounding areas. For this reason, there are no tourist facilities built on the shores of the lake and the use of boats is prohibited. Only a few weekend houses or improvised campsites can be seen. Apart from the water supply of Zaječar, the lake is also used for irrigation and sediment retention. You can reach Grliški lake from two directions: from Leskovac and from Grlište. The road is in pretty good condition, and all the turns are signposted, so you won't have any problems finding the right way.
