This old town house in the Kosovo-Moravian style was built at the end of the 18th or the beginning of the 19th century, in a quiet alley of the old town, on a hill overlooking the mighty Danube. It was named after the Rančić family, to which it belonged for almost two centuries. Built of local materials without a single nail, wide eaves, with wooden doxat and a tile roof, it is a precious example of preserved folk architecture and town house of Serbia. With its architectural, constructive and artistic features, as well as the quality and processing of materials, it represents one of the most valuable houses not only in the Grocka area, but also in the Belgrade area in general.
