## What to Take with You to Serbia

The main principle - minimal belongings, because almost everything is available in Serbia. The key is to properly prepare the documents.

## Documents in Advance

- An apostille on Russian documents is not required in Serbia.
- Translations into Serbian are done only in Serbia, so there is no point preparing them beforehand.

## Money

- It is better to bring currency in euros (dollars are also accepted).
- Import/export of cash: up to 10 000 € - no restrictions for residents and non-residents. Over 10 000 € - you must declare the import or provide a statement of withdrawal from an account.
- When transporting a large amount, prepare documents confirming its origin (sale of an apartment, car, inheritance, etc.).

## What Is Worth Bringing

- Medications for the first period, until you find local equivalents. In Serbia antibiotics are dispensed only with a prescription.
- Proof of income: employment contract from your current workplace or contracts and invoices if you are an individual entrepreneur.
- If you have a Russian individual entrepreneur - arrange a KEP (qualified electronic signature) in advance.

## Powers of Attorney (to be arranged in Russia before departure)

It is useful to issue powers of attorney to a trusted person for the following tasks:

- Re-issuance of a Russian SIM card if lost;
- Management of bank accounts, re-issuance/closure of cards;
- Removal from military registration;
- Representation in court (with the right to delegate to a lawyer);
- Requests to the civil registry, MUP, tax authority, etc.;
- Arranging parental leave if you work in Russia.

## If Serbia Is a Transit to a Third Country

For the destination country, prepare additionally:

- Apostille and translation of diploma, birth certificate, marriage certificate;
- A second foreign passport;
- A long-term Schengen visa, if possible.

## Specific Cases

- For a residence permit based on cohabitation, both partners need to bring from Russia certificates that they are not married.
- Transport of pets - study the Serbian customs rules in advance.
