Current Situation with Slots (2025-2026)
Since mid-2025 the consulate has almost stopped issuing slots for tourist visas:
- Slots open roughly 4 weeks before the planned trip.
- Replies to emails are rare; many wait since December 2025 without result.
- Officially you can repeat the request every 10 working days.
- For 2026 slots are practically not issued.
Alternative: the guard at the entrance sometimes sells a slot for 200 EUR (unofficial).
Required Documents
Main Package
- Passport valid at least 3 months after the end of the trip.
- Schengen application - one copy per applicant.
- Consular checklist - download PDF/ListaSchengen.pdf).
- Two colour photos 35×45 mm on a white background.
- Medical insurance - minimum 30 000 EUR coverage for the whole Schengen area.
- Airline tickets - preferably paid (the consulate may check the reservation).
- Hotel bookings - can be unpaid via Booking/airbnb.
- Temporary boravak - copy + original for verification.
- Registration certificate (from the residence book).
- In the form indicate the residence card number, not "broj stranica".
For Children
- Birth certificate (apostille not required for Russia).
- Exit consent from the second parent if the child travels with only one parent.
- School certificate if the child is enrolled.
Translations
For the main documents a translation is not required. If a translation is needed, have it done by a sworn translator in Serbia.
Financial Documents
Bank Statements
Statements from all Serbian banks (Raiffeisen, Intesa, Komercijalna, etc.) are accepted. The key is to show transaction flow, not just the balance. Provide both dinar and euro accounts if possible.
Minimum Amounts
Calculated by the formula: number of days × 65 EUR per person. Examples:
- 10 days → minimum 650 EUR.
- 30 days → minimum 1 950 EUR.
- 45 days → minimum 2 925 EUR.

Income
- Sole proprietor in Serbia - income statement, account turnover.
- Employment in Russia - certificates + translations via "Golden Crown".
- Freelance - income statements, contracts.
Important: Money must be "lying" in the account, not appear just a day before submission. A 3-4 month transaction history is required.
- Sponsorship letter in Spanish/English.
- Sponsor's documents (income certificates, statements).
- Proof of relationship if the sponsor is a family member.

- Passports are held for 2-3 months.
- Decision letter arrives on the day the visa is issued; the status on the website changes at the last moment.
Visa collection: come 2-3 days before departure for readiness check, and definitely the day before departure. Reception is from 13:00 to 13:30.
