Italy Visa from Serbia - Step-by-Step Guide

Working days: Monday-Friday, appointment hours - by reservation through the online system.

Appointment booking - only via the website https://prenotami.esteri.it/services.
Create an account, confirm the e-mail, slots appear in the 20s of the month and open at 10:00-14:00. Booking takes 5-10 minutes, after which you must confirm the reservation in your personal cabinet within 3-10 days.

Tip: at the entrance there are two intercoms - call the one with the bell icon and do not press the button. The phone is passed to security in an individual box.

For residents of Vojvodina: you can write to the consulate in Subotica by e-mail - replies come quickly and often include free slots.

Required Documents

Main Package

1. Completed application form (a link is sent to your e-mail after slot booking).
2. Valid passport (valid for at least 3 months after the end of the trip, two blank pages).
3. Copy of the first page of the passport.
4. Photo 35×45 mm, colour, white background, not older than 6 months.
5. Valid residence permit (VNR/PR) and a copy of the document.
6. Medical insurance ≥ €30 000 (one of the Serbian companies, e.g., "Dunav").

Types of Visas

Tourist (C)

Since December 2025 only single-entry visas for a specific trip are issued. Multivisas are not given except in exceptional cases. The validity period matches the travel dates + a small buffer.

Business Visa

Has separate slots in the booking system, requires proof of business purpose. Chances for a multivisa are higher than for a tourist visa.

National (D)

For long-term stay, processed at the same consulate.
