- Biometrics appointment hours: 9:00-12:00 (morning slots), 15:00-17:00 (evening slots for passport collection)
- Appointment: online only via the gov.uk website after completing the form and paying the visa fee
Free slots are available for practically any date - from tomorrow up to several weeks ahead. Free slots open after 1-2 weeks, paid (priority) slots are available the next day. Since February 2026 slots have become more accessible.
Required Documents
Main Package
- Passport - all pages (including blank ones), at least one free page for the visa.
- Russian internal passport - main page with photo.
- Serbian residence permit - scan of the card both sides (not mandatory but useful).
- Completed online application with QR code.
Financial Documents
- Work certificate in English (position, salary, employment dates).
- Bank statement for the last 3-6 months showing transaction history.
- Statement of account balance in English.
Additional Documents (if needed)
- Marriage certificate - translation into English.
- Rental agreement in Serbia (to prove ties to the country).
- Cover Letter - accompanying letter with explanations (optional).
Photo is taken on site during biometrics. Notarized translation is not required - a self-translation of the main documents is sufficient; headings of Serbian bank statements are also translated independently.

Bank Statements
- Raiffeisen Bank Serbia - balance statements in English, transaction statements in Serbian.
- Other banks - accept statements without stamps (e.g., Austrian banks).
- Russian banks - statements in English (Tinkoff, VTB, etc.).
Minimum Balance Required
There is no fixed figure, but the practical minimum is ≈ 3000 EUR. Aim for £100-150 per day of travel plus a reserve 2-3 times larger. The key is that income and savings appear consistent.
Needed if the trip is financed by a spouse/relative. Sample template:

Important Changes from March 2026
- eVisa (electronic visa) becomes effective on 1 March 2026. The visa is issued electronically, and the passport is not taken at the biometrics appointment.
- Managing eVisa requires a UKVI account.
- The Keep My Passport service is no longer relevant.
