Embassy of Switzerland in Belgrade
- Working days: Monday-Thursday (closed on Fridays)
- Appointments can be made only via email belgrade.visa@eda.admin.ch - send a request, receive confirmation, and come with the full document package. There is no visa centre; everything is accepted at the embassy.
Appointment Slots
For the 2025-2026 years the queue lasts 3 to 4 months. If you book in May you will be offered slots for August-September, in October - already for January of the following year. Slots are issued no earlier than 3 months before the trip, but in rare cases (business trips with employer and inviting company confirmation) an earlier date may be scheduled.
How to get a slot:
- Fill out the application on the official Swiss website.
- Send to belgrade.visa@eda.admin.ch: application number, passport scan, scan of a valid residence permit (boravak) and the planned travel dates.
- You will receive the nearest available slot.
Required Documents
Main Package
- Completed application (filled online).
- Passport (old biometric passports are accepted, but the visa will be valid one day longer).
- Valid residence permit in Serbia (boravak).
- Photo meeting Schengen requirements.
- Medical insurance of at least €30 000.
- Round-trip tickets (reservation is acceptable).

Translations
- Documents can be translated by yourself - the embassy accepts translations done with ChatGPT or Google Translate. A certified translator is not required, though it may give peace of mind.
- The PIO certificate must be translated into English.
Financial Documents
Bank Statements
- Statements for the last 3 months with the bank's stamp. Statements from any Serbian bank (Raiffeisen, Erste, etc.) are accepted.
- For Raiffeisen: download the statement in the app, print it, and take it to a branch for stamping.
- All account movements must be visible.
Minimum Amount
No exact figure is given in the messages, but the funds must cover the trip expenses. If you have a multi-currency account, attach an explanation of the conversion (e.g., the euro account is empty, while the dinar account is funded).

Invitations from Relatives/Friends
