## What is it
A plastic card with information about a foreigner, which has been issued since 2024 instead of a sticker in the passport. Similar to Serbian ID cards, the data is recorded on a chip.
## Where is the "verified" card required
- Submission of temporary residence permit (TRP) application
- Adding TRP number to a business
- Certificate of no criminal record
- Health insurance (health card) registration
The chip can be read independently (card reader ≈ 2,000 RSD + **Čelik** software, Windows only) or at a copy center that has updated Čelik.
## Using it as an Electronic Signature
The ID card can be used as a basic electronic signature to access government services (eUprava): adding a TRP number to a business in APR, obtaining certificates from the tax office, submitting annual reports.
For this, you will need a card reader and a **PIN code**, specified on the sheet to which the card was attached when issued (fold along the perforation and detach the protective fragment). Then install the **TrustEdgeID** middleware and MUP certificates (MUPRootCA4, MUPGradjaniCA4, MUPStranciCA4). If the PIN code is entered incorrectly multiple times, the card is blocked; it can only be unblocked at the MUP.
## Nuances
- A plastic card instead of a sticker can only be obtained when extending a TRP - it cannot be replaced directly.
- Keep the sheet with the PIN code, it will be needed to work with the card.
