- **Work** - employment in a Serbian firm
- **Talent** - diploma of completed higher education (first residence permit, duration 1 year)
- **Real Estate** - purchase of residential property in Serbia
- **Family reunification / cohabitation** (vanbračna zajednica)
- **Study** - school, university, courses

### Validity period

| Ground | Period |
|--------|--------|
| Real estate, permanent employment contract, sole proprietor | 3 years |
| Family reunification | For the duration of the main applicant |
| Study / courses | For the duration of the study |
| Talent | 1 year |

### How to submit an application

The application can be sent online through the **eUprava** portal or submitted in person at the MUP. From 1 February 2024, business, work and talent applications are accepted only online; for children - only offline; a spouse reunifying with the applicant may choose any method. An electronic signature (ЭЦП) and ConsentID are not required for online submission.

### Not required

- Apostille on Russian documents
- Certificate of no criminal record

### Cost (per person)

- Residence permit card: **1 788 + 2 120 RSD**
- Residence permit approval: **22 700 + 420 RSD**

Each family member, including children, receives a separate card and a separate approval; biometrics are paid for each individual.

### Visa-run during processing

After a personal submission at the MUP (offline) or after receiving the **Request submitted** status / *Confirmation of request receipt* letter (online), a visa-run is no longer needed. If you left the country before receiving the card, a "beli karton" will be required on re-entry; it is not needed for card renewal.

### Renewal

The application should be filed **no earlier than 3 months** before the current residence permit expires and no later than the expiration date. The countdown starts from the "DO" date on the current permit, regardless of when the application is submitted. Do not postpone: the autumn-spring period sees a surge of submissions, and in December-January and July-August the MUP is overloaded. If the application is accepted but the decision is delayed, you may remain in the country legally until the decision is issued.

### After receiving the residence permit

- The "beli karton" is no longer needed at entry.
- Notify the MUP of a change of address within 3 days.
- If you have a sole proprietorship, register it in PIO; optionally link the residence permit number to the sole proprietorship.
- It is advisable to obtain health insurance (zdravstvena karta), link the residence permit number to your SIM card, obtain a ConsentID and, if desired, replace your driver's licence with a Serbian one.
- No notification to Russian authorities is required - under Russian law this is a temporary residence permit (RVP).

### Important for future permanent residence (PMJ)

Planning a permanent residence permit? Over a 3-year period the total time spent outside Serbia must not exceed 10 months, and any single exit must not exceed 6 months. If permanent residence is not needed, there are no restrictions for renewing the temporary permit.

> At the MUP only trousers are allowed: shorts, skirts above the knee, sportswear, flip-flops and headwear (including children's clothing) are prohibited.
