Restoration of a foreigner's ID card

## If the card was lost or damaged

First go to the MUP office at the place of loss and submit a loss report - they will give you a copy. Without this copy the replacement will not be accepted.

### Procedure

1. Obtain a copy of the loss report from MUP.
2. Make an appointment:
- Belgrade - [upravazastrance@mup.gov.rs](mailto:upravazastrance@mup.gov.rs)
- Novi Sad - [strancins.zakazivanje@mup.gov.rs](mailto:strancins.zakazivanje@mup.gov.rs)
In other cities it is enough to just go to MUP without an appointment.
3. Pay two fees - for the loss and for issuing a new card (through eUprava).
4. Fill out the loss report in Serbian (you can do it by hand or electronically).
5. Come to MUP with your foreign passport, the completed report, the copy of the loss report, and the payment receipts. At the terminal select "Izdavanje kartičnog dokumenta", find your surname and take a number.
6. On the appointed day pick up the new card.

### Nuances

- When the card is replaced, no new photographs are taken and no fingerprints are collected.
- The sticker on the ID card cannot be replaced through a loss report; such a replacement is possible only when renewing the residence permit. If the passport with the sticker is lost, you will be issued a new sticker in a new passport.
